Replacement or 'extra' Foam Pen Grips.

We strongly recommend the use of the Strop - Pen Conditioner. Use the Strop regularly in order to keep woodburing pens in tip-top condition. Draw the tips across the strop before and after each use, and anytime that a pen picks up debris from the work surface. Dirty, unconditioned pens do not perform as well as equipment that is well cared for.

Woodburners love this translucent printing paper. It has been found to be exceptionally useful by woodburners, who have come to call it "Pyrography Paper", or "PyroPaper". It is especially well suited for pyrography because it does not smoke, melt, or burn uncontrollably. These characteristics make this paper completely unlike most tracing papers that are commonly used for transferring and burning designs.
Pyrography paper is an essential tool for woodburners who are more comfortable laying out basic designs on a flat surface, and then transferring them to a curved surface, such as on gourds, with their notorious sweeping and sinuous curves.
Not only can the artist draw or trace designs directly onto this pyrography paper, but line art can be printed on to the paper with either inkjet or laser printers. Once the design is on the woodburning pyropaper, just cut it from the sheet, tape in place, and burn the lines right through and directly onto the project.
For pyrographers, the stability of this woodburning pyro paper is what sets its apart from 'tracing papers'. Lines burn cleanly through the paper, which does not curl, melt, or deform during the transfer process.
Note: It is necessary to use a skew style (edged) burning pen to slice through the paper while making the transfer. Shader type woodburning pens are not suitable. (They may of course be used extensively while completing the transferred design.)

Waxless, greaseless, smudge proof, erasable on sealed surfaces, won't bleed through paint. Cut and use what you need. Available in black and white.
Our pens do fit the Colwood, so this is not a conversion cord, but rather a replacement cord. Our cords comes with a LIFETIME warranty, while the Colwood cord is limited to only a one year warranty. The Optima Super-Flex Heavy Duty replacement cord often resolves issues of intermittent heat issues and temperature fluctuations that are sometimes associated with the Colwood product.
